I was doing some research
on Princess Diana for another article I am writing when I came
across several pieces on a couple of Trans-Neptunian’s I
was not familiar with. I had heard something in the news about
the discovery of a new planet beyond Pluto but I did not know
whether any info was available re it's application in natal astrology.
It was while looking at some articles on Sedna that I came across
Quaoar and several articles on this Trans-Neptunian plus an ephemeris.
The mythology and meaning of Quaoar stuck a cord in relation
to the work I was doing on Diana's chart so I decided to checkout
the position of her natal Quaoar only to find it at 18 Libra 47
within a degree of her natal ascendant. Now hang on a minute I
hear many of you cry Diana's ascendant is In Sagittarius so how
can it be conjunct her ascendant. Well it's simple; Diana has
two natal charts
both of which are quite powerful, and the Libra ascendant one
was used for many years by at least one of her astrologers. Many
people may feel un-settled by the use of two charts rationalising
that a person can only have one birth time, and whilst this is
so, there have been many occasions over the years when a chart
with the wrong time has proven to be valid, or radical as astrologers
say, even on the discovery of the correct birth time. I have always
favoured the Libra rising chart not initially for any sound astrological
reasons (although the more I studied it these where forthcoming)
but rather just because it felt right. I am not going into any
in depth interpretation of these charts at present, the reason
for this article is to look at the position of Quaoar in the Libra
rising chart and how it speaks volumes about Diana's life and
the reason behind her marriage to Prince Charles. As for the two
charts issue I refer you to the notes at the end of an excellent
article written by Nick Campion on Princess Diana which
appeared in the Astrological Journal Vol 39 no: 5 and hope this
answers some of your questions. In this article and any other article
I write I will be using the Koch house system, which is the one
I always use however I have no dispute with any other house system
I believe whatever works for you is best.
